‘Warmth and safety... for a peaceful heart’
Because winter in Palestine is not merely a season of giving, but a test of resilience in the face of the cold, and because our children in the tents and alleyways of ancient Jerusalem are a trust we hold dear
We believe that a child’s right to warmth is no less important than their right to protection, and that a woollen garment or a warm blanket on a cold night gives them a sense of security and peace, whispering in their ear that they have brothers and sisters who watch over their comfort despite the distance.
This project aims to provide essential winter supplies, including warm clothing, thermal blankets and comfortable mattresses, to orphans and needy families in Jerusalem, Gaza and the West Bank. We do not merely distribute fabrics; we weave ‘care’ and build a ‘wall of warmth’.
At the Waqf, we take care to select the finest materials befitting human dignity, so that their winter this year may be less harsh and more comforting, just as we take care to keep our own homes and children warm.
Through your contributions, we weave a blanket of pride and tranquillity for these children, transforming the bitter cold of the camps into a sense of security, proving that it is our brotherhood that brings warmth to hearts before it warms bodies.
