‘We water the land... so that people may live’

Providing water is not merely a passing act of charity; it is a lifeline for resilience and an absolute necessity for preserving dignity and survival on this earth. It is for this reason that the Ikha’a and Education Endowment launched the “Water Supply and Well Rehabilitation” project, driven by our conviction that thirst must not break the will of our people, and that the scarcity of resources must not extinguish the pulse of life in our villages, towns and resilient camps.

We are not merely providing a “drop of water”; we are restoring the “flow of hope”. This project targets parched and devastated areas, and the steadfast farmers on their land, by drilling artesian wells, repairing dilapidated networks, and providing desalination plants. We aim to protect families from the risks of pollution and the crippling costs of buying water, and to provide the basic environment that enables people to remain steadfast and productive.

We believe that our solidarity with those who are thirsty is an investment in a ‘life’ that will blossom tomorrow in our fields, nourish our children, support our agricultural economy, and lead our society towards self-sufficiency and empowerment.

Through this project, we are building bridges of cooperation between benefactors and those seeking a sip of clean water in Gaza, to create a reality where thirst is quenched, the land is greened, and the Palestinian people remain cherished and capable of facing challenges.
